THIS YEAR’S TOP DNA ARTS LAURA SECORD STUDENTS
Drama

Has a passion for all aspects of theatre, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Is a team player, who is interested in being part of the drama community at Laura Secord.

Eager to take risks and explore new ideas in drama, and willing to grow as a performer.

Enjoys attenging live theatrical performances outside of school.
Music

Has a passion for performing and creating music at an advanced level.

Is self disciplined through individual at home practising.

Has a curiosity for new musical ideas and listens to many forms of music.

Attends live performances to acquire new skills.

Dedicated participation in Laura Secord rehearsals and concerts.

DNA ARTS AT LAURA SECORD
"The DNA arts program allows talented and committed arts students to concentrate their studies in the Arts while also completing the requirements for their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Students take a minimum of two (visual) arts credits per year and may obtain a DNA arts Certificate upon completion of a total of eight credits in the Arts at graduation. Programs are professionally oriented and academically rigorous. Realistic career planning in the arts at college or university is the next step for most DNA Arts students."

Audition Day: January 11, 2018 - 12:15 p.m to 2:15 p.m.

Application Deadline: To be submitted to Laura Secord Guidance by Friday, December 15.

Visual Arts

Has a passion for creating artwork.

Has a curiosity for actively seeking out and viewing artwork online, in museums, and in gallery exhibitions.

Has strong original work and accompanying digital portfolio of artwork.

Demonstrates a high level of creativity as well as technique.

Is able to defend and discuss their work and the work of others with confidence.

Is experienced in the organization, participation, setup, and display techniques for an art exhibition.
